When it comes to getting quiet before the Lord and listening for the whisper of the Holy Spirit in my heart there always seems to be one thing I can count on.

Whenever I’m seeking the Lord for fresh direction, insight or wisdom for life’s journey, without fail I will get reminded of things that are already in my journal.

It’s like the Lord is saying, “Don’t forget what I showed you last time we visited”…or,  “We’ve had this conversation about priorities before.”

I believe that many times when we are anxious to discover the new things that the Lord desires for our lives and we are fasting and praying about fresh direction and clarity. He has a way of lovingly casting His eyes toward the last neglected responsibility or assignment that we were aware. Just like a parent who is trying to get their kids to pick up the dirty cloths or clean up a mess as they grow in responsibility. We might motion with our eyes, just subtle, not nagging, but a loving reminder nonetheless.

What is it that you believe the Lord is motioning toward in your life that you have left undone or neglected?

Is there something that you clearly know you should be taking care of but you haven’t because of its difficulty?

Being ALL IN means loving the Lord with all our strength too.

It’s sad but true that “sometimes we would rather pray than obey.”

Commit to obey the Lord in whatever He has spoken to you about today. I’m confident you will not have to wait long for Him to release you into greater responsibility and blessing. Your breakthrough year is connected to your obedience.

Matthew 25:21 (ESV)

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

Isaiah 1:19 (ESV)

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;

Praying for you to be willing and obedient today!
